fire illustrations..

Contributor M-I-S-H-A does this wonderfully beautiful thing with men/women/alpha letters and fire and I'm trying to figure out if it's way beyond my ability to create. Anyone know where I might find a tutorial? example: 18496382 (I need to set fire to an old man in a chair for a book cover!!) Thanks for any and all info.

Oops, sorry. I can explain. The images by MISHA were done with 3D technique and fume/flame plugins like FUME FX or Phoenix. If u are talking about vector Illustrations then ofcourse better way to use links by Whiteway.

Thanks for the info and links. The flames were too much -- it drew attention away from the main subject matter of the front cover, so I just blackened the clothes and added some smoke. turned out swell and the client liked it--enough for another project in a few months.
